Postmenopause
THE MENOPAUSE JOURNEY
The stage of life after menopause
Postmenopause begins once menopause has been reached and continues for the rest of life.
Hormone levels generally remain more stable than during perimenopause, but at a lower level than before. Some symptoms may improve, while others can continue or appear later.

What to be aware of
Lower oestrogen levels can affect bone density, cardiovascular health, muscle mass, vaginal and urinary health, and skin and hair. Regular lifestyle support and appropriate health monitoring can help you maintain your health and wellbeing in the long term.

Bleeding after menopause should always be medically assessed
If you have had no periods for 12 months and then experience any vaginal bleeding or spotting, contact your doctor, even if it only happens once or the amount is very small.
